Description
Video Production is designed for students who have career interests in film and video production or broadcast media. Students work on the fundamentals of video production , including the techniques and the anesthetics of shooting, lighting, sound design, and editing. this program provides instruction in a real studio environment. Students create scripts and then record, capture, and edit film and television broadcasts. Students use HD Cameras and Hollywood level Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier Pro editing software. Students also have access to a professional TV studio at the Community Media Center. Students will develop the entry level skills needed to record news and live events and to film videos and television broadcasts.

All have an agreement with CCCTC based on the college's requirements for curriculum, faculties, and instructor that is reviewed and renewed periodically to guarantee that students are getting the equivalent instruction at CCCTC that would be expected in class at that institution. Course Overview
In this dynamic class, students will explore the intersections of digital art, print production design, package design, advertising, photography, and comic book illustration. Through hands-on projects and collaborative assignments, participants will learn to utilize a variety of digital tools and print technologies to create compelling visual graphics applicable across multiple mediums.

Digital Art Techniques:
Students will experiment with digital painting, illustration, and product design using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. They will develop essential skills in composition, color theory, graphic communications, and visual storytelling. -
Package Design:
Students will learn the fundamentals of package design, exploring how to create functional and aesthetically pleasing packaging that communicates brand identity. They will analyze real-world examples and create their own designs for various products. -
Advertising Concepts:

HONORS PRINCIPLES OF ART, MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION
Course: 553518 (Honors) 1 credit
This course provides students an understanding of all aspects of the Arts, Media and Communication industry. Students will examine the opportunities and requirements of the major career pathways in this industry including: Communication and Broadcast Technologies, Multimedia Production, Graphic Design and Print Communication.
Prerequisites and other notes: This is the first course in a 4-credit completer.
HONORS INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTION
Course: 553718 (Honors) 1 credit
This course further develops student mastery of media design and the interactive media production process. Students will advance their knowledge and skills in media design and production through project planning and product development. Students will demonstrate the use of multiple tools and modalities in the production process.
Prerequisites and other notes: This course is part of a 4-credit completer. Principles of Art, Media and Communication must be successfully completed prior to this course.
ADVANCED INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTION
Course: 553529 2 credits
Students will advance their knowledge and skills in multimedia design and production through project planning and product development. Students will demonstrate the use of multiple tools and modalities in the production process. Students will design, code, build, test and troubleshoot basic custom programs for multimedia applications and create web applications with advanced interactive components. Emphasis will be placed on group project development and the development of a layered portfolio.
Prerequisites or other notes: This is one of two options for the final course of a 4-credit completer. Interactive Media Production must be successfully completed prior to this course.
