Arts, Media, and Communication

Print Production is a nationally certified Print ED program that prepares students for a career in graphic design, page layout, illustration, photography, and production. A MAC based lab allows students to learn how to edit and create original graphic art with professional grade software.  Our print production lab rivals what you would find in industry with such things as a vacuum deck, auto feed, 4'x8', CNC cutter; a banner printer; a professional grade t-shirt screening station; book binder; and professional/industrial grade print station to name a few.  If you have an image in your mind we can create it digitally and produce it in multiple formats.  

Up to 17 college credits can be earned through the Art  Institute of Washington based on a portfolio review. Qualified students in Print Production can also earn 3 college credits through Carroll Community College.

PrintED
Administered by the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation (GAERF®) is a national accreditation program, based on industry standards for graphic communications courses of study at the secondary and post-secondary levels. Certification by this agency is usually reserved for postsecondary institutions and must be renewed  every three years through an onsite evaluation for the program.

 Art Institute of Washington, Bridgemont Community and Technical College, Carroll Community College 
All have an agreement with CCCTC based on the college's requirements for curriculum, faculties, and instructor that is reviewed and renewed periodically to guarantee that students are getting the equivalent instruction at CCCTC that would be expected in class at that institution.  Credits are awarded based on that agreement.

Video Production is designed for students who have career interests in film and video production or broadcast media.  Students work on the fundamentals of video production , including the techniques and the anesthetics of shooting, lighting, sound design, and editing.  this program provides instruction in a real studio environment. Students create scripts and then record, capture, and edit film and television broadcasts. Students use HD Cameras and Hollywood level Final Cut Pro  and Adobe Premier Pro editing software.  Students also have access to a professional TV studio at the Community Media Center. Students will develop the entry level skills needed to record news and live events and to film videos and television broadcasts.

Our partner across the parking lot.  Because of the high standards of professionalism in our program, the CMC allows us to use their professional 5000 square foot TV studio and professional equipment.
